This Aquatic Ecosystem saving project will allow the users to publish, manipulate, interrogate and visualize any type of information in digital format including multimedia materials, reports, publications, etc., related to aquatic ecosystem services.

AQUACROSS is a Horizon 2020 project which aims to protect aquatic biodiversity and ensure the provision of aquatic ecosystem services. Marine ecosystems cover approximately 71% of the Earth’s surface and contain approximately 97% of the planet’s water. They generate 32% of the world’s net primary production. If we the humans will keep on polluting the water bodies soon, the Earth’s Ecosystem will collapse.

Water is the basic need for life and Freshwater is getting rare and water reservoirs level is lowering during the past few years. As the world population is increasing rapidly it’s the time to save the nature before it’s too late.
