Katy Perry gets called out on wearing racist shoes

LAHORE – Both the “Rue Face Slip On Loafers” and the “Ora Face Block Heel Sandal” loafer from Katy Perry’s fashion line have been pulled off from stores due to being called racist.

Retailing for $129 per pair at Dillard’s and Walmart, the ‘Rue Face Slip On Loafers’ and ‘Ora Face Block Heel Sandal’ from Katy Perry Collections feature two eyes, a gold nose, and red lips.

Perry told TMZ that the shoes were not intended to be offensive; however, “In order to be respectful and sensitive the team is in the process of pulling the shoes.” Perry herself has yet to comment.

However, a person has suggested this solution for next time when someone plans on making something related to a face.

A person can create something related to their face but others should think twice!

Singer Masika Kalysha called Katy out for the offensive design on Sunday ahead of the Grammys, sharing a photo of a pair of the black ‘Rue Face Slip On Loafers’ on her Instagram Stories.
