WASHINGTON – The United States and Russia have agreed to resume talks on Syria crisis to create favourable conditions for its resolution.
The US State Department said first round of talks will be held in the Swiss city Lausanne on Saturday followed by a second round in London.
Both the meetings will focus on a multilateral approach to resolve the crisis in Syria, including a sustained cessation of violence and resumption of humanitarian aid deliveries.
The talks are also likely to be joined by Turkey and Gulf countries.
