KARACHI – Pakistan witnessed historic surge in gold prices this week as powerful rally in global bullion markets pushed rates to never-before-seen highs.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, gold prices leapt sharply, climbing Rs900 per tola and Rs707 per 10 grams to smash previous records and settle at a staggering Rs481,862 per tola and Rs413,118 per 10 grams.

The global bullion market fueled the rally, with gold prices jumping USD9 to hit a fresh all-time high of USD4,595 per ounce. Silver also surged dramatically, gaining USD1.80 to reach a record-breaking USD86 per ounce.

Echoing the international momentum, domestic silver prices rewrote history, soaring Rs180 per tola and Rs154 per 10 grams to unprecedented levels of Rs9,075 per tola and Rs7,780 per 10 grams, traders said.
