Lt Gen Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmed is a corps commander Multan and was appointed as Chief of general staff by Chief of Army staff General Raheel Sharif. A very rarely known fact about Lt Gen Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmed is that he was the mastermind of the famous Zarb-e-Azb operation.
Lt Gen Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmed has been very close to General Raheel Sharif and is often given credit for General Raheel Sharif’s success and popularity.
He has also given a briefing to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif about the operation in Waziristan.
Lt Gen Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmed has also served as a Major general in Swat operation and has been a brigadier in Waziristan.
