Quoting a post from Naor Gilon, the Ambassador of Israel to India, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan, on the now-rebranded platform Twitter, featuring an individual holding an “India stands with Israel” placard, the official account expressed its appreciation for the show of solidarity by Indian friends with Israel. The message conveyed satisfaction over India’s victory in the India versus Pakistan Cricket World Cup 2023 match, emphasizing that Pakistan could not attribute its success to the actions of Hamas, an organization deemed by Israel as a sponsor of terrorism.
This reference pertained to the cricket match in which India triumphed over Pakistan with seven wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
