British-Pakistani viral sensation Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has released “Bado Badi 2,” the second rendition of his hit song, on Eid ul Adha. However, he has decided not to upload the song on YouTube.
Chahat told Geo News that he chose to avoid YouTube to prevent further issues. Last week, YouTube deleted the original “Bado Badi” version after it had garnered nearly 30 million views.
The new version features a new, unnamed model, replacing the original model, Wajdan Rao. Rao had previously accused Chahat of paying her only Rs5,000 for her work in the original video.
“Bado Badi 2” is available on Chahat’s official Facebook, X, and Instagram accounts. Chahat announced plans to release a series of “Bado Bado” versions, stating, “After Bado Badi 2, I will release Bado Badi 3, 4, 5, and so on. I won’t use YouTube because there are jealous people who want to hinder my channel’s growth.” He also mentioned that he has engaged lawyers to speak with YouTube to restore the original viral video.
At a London press conference for the release of his film “Sabaq” and “Bado Badi 2,” Chahat humorously imitated Wajdan Rao’s accusations and then addressed them. He said, “I gave her a chance in six songs; no one knew her before my songs. She’s now claiming she won’t work with me, but she’s already famous thanks to my songs. I didn’t have a contract with her, but I paid her five thousand, arranged a dinner, and even arranged a rickshaw ride home.”
Responding to her claim that she felt threatened by him, Chahat asserted that he is harmless and has never harmed anyone.
Chahat also advised Rao to capitalize on her fame positively and work hard in the media industry instead of seeking followers through controversy. “She told me she is doing this for fame, in my name,” he added.
Chahat urged his fans to watch his debut film “Sabaq” on his YouTube channel, which was released on Eid. Directed by Faraz Ahmed, “Sabaq” explores themes of classical singing, crime, love, and the world of social media influencers. Ahmed praised Chahat, stating, “Chahat is a great entertainer and a huge talent. This film is a tribute to his talent and formally launches him as an actor. His singing has garnered praise and laughter, but his acting debut shows a different side of him. He is a brilliant actor and a pro.”
