MUZAFARGARH (Web Desk) – National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has refused to issue a CNIC to a dwarf citizen who claims to be 19 years old, according to media reports.
Junaid, a resident of Muzafargarh, is 3.2 feet tall and NADRA officials have recommended him a hormone test and CT scan to confirm his age. The victim however maintained that he cannot afford these tests.
He further added “I have a birth certificate to confirm my date of birth, Feb 20, 1996,” while requesting the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to order issuance of CNIC.
On the other hand NADRA personnel told the media persons that special medical reports are required for issuing identity cards in such cases. We have written to the higher authorities seeking any possible relaxation however, he added.
