Islamabad Bans Use Of Tinted Glass Fancy Number Plates For Vehicles

ISLAMABAD – Authorities have imposed a ban on use of tinted glass sheet and fancy number plates for vehicles in federal capital.

A ban has been imposed on sale and purchase of flashers lights with authorities stating that strict action will be taken against the violators.

It is recalled that Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued a total of 577,836 challans over traffic violations in the federal capital till September of the running year 2024.

It revealed that fine amounting to Rs48 million was imposed on people for traffic rule violations, and over 951 FIRs were registered at various police stations for serious violations.

Similarly, Rawalpindi Traffic Police also released data for a special campaign focused on public service vehicles, conducted from August 25, 2024, to September 12, 2024.

During the campaign, the traffic officials issued 3,803 challans for violations, imposing a fine of Rs4.1 million.
