Kalki has been in the headlines since forever due to her bold and daring nature, her truthful and honest remarks and of course, her thoughts on sexual harassment, body shaming and other social evils.
The monochrome image was directed towards people, to encourage them to ‘love their nakedness’.
In an interview with an Indian daily, Kalki opened up about the reasons why she did the photo shoot, citing it as one of the ways of curbing the body shaming menace.
Kalki said she found it ‘significant’ to share the image as it was clicked by a female photographer, and she felt that women are depicted ALMOST EVERY TIME through a man’s perspective.
She went on to explain the importance of celebrating your body rather than worrying about what the world would think, and stating that she has “never been ashamed” of what she does. On the work front, she will be seen starring opposite Richa Chadha in ‘Jia Aur Jia’.
