MUMBAI (Web Desk) – Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji still manages to rule hearts as she turns 38 today (Monday). The Mardaani star took a break from limelight after she became pregnant and later mother to Adira in December 2015.
Rani, taking a leaf out of husband Aditya Chopra’s book, has stayed away from limelight for some time now. The star who turned 38 on Monday issued a statement after her daughter’s birth but we are still to catch a glimpse of either the mother or the baby. “I would like to thank all my well wishers and fans. Today life has given us God’s greatest gift with Adira. We thank fans our friends and well-wishers for their unconditional support and blessings. With joy, we begin this new chapter in our lives,” she had written.
Rani Mukherji was born on March 21, 1978 in Mumbai. She went to Maneckji Cooper High School and graduated in Home Science from SNDT Women s University.
Rani comes from a film-oriented Bengali family as her father Ram Mukherji was founder of Filmalaya Studios, while mother Krishna was a playback singer.
The actress tied knot with well-known director Aditya Chopra in 2014.
For her roles in the films Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Yuva (2004) and No One Killed Jessica (2011), Mukerji won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.
