MUMBAI – South Africa bagged a high-margin victory of 229 runs against England in a World Cup match at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, on Saturday.
Proteas bowlers showed magnificent bowling skills as England team was bundled out for 170 runs in pursuit of 400 runs target.
England have lost first eight wickets till 17 overs as Dawid Malan, Buttler, Harry Brooke and others could not perform well.
Gerald Coetzee got three wickets while Lungi Ngidi and Marco Jansen claimed two wickets each.
Earlier, South Africa had posted a strong target of 400 runs for England.
Reeza Hendricks made 85 and Rassie van der Dussen 60 while a scintillating knock of 109 runs from Heinrich Klaasen and Marco Jansen’s 75 helped South Africa to post a giant total.
