ISLAMABAD (APP) – A novelist and scholar (late) Intizar Hussain was paid tributes at National Day Book Festival on Saturday to eulogise his literary services.
The session of “Bayad e Intizar Hussain” was presided by renowned scholar and Chairman PTV Ata ul Haq Qasmi.
The speakers included Masood Ashar, Asghar Nadeem Sayed, Zahida Hina, Muhammad Hameed Shahid, Dr. Tehseen Bibi, Prof. Qaisrah Alvi.
The session was conducted by poet and scholar Mahboob Zafar. The speakers in their papers termed Intizar Hussain’s death a real loss to society and lauded his style of writing in Urdu literature.
They described the late Hussain as a literary giant. Prof. Qaisrah Alvi book “Intizar Hussain k Muntakhib Afsany” was launched on the occasion. The book was published by National Book Foundation.
