Foreign Minister Qureshi warns India not to challenge Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – After the violation of Line of Control (LOC) by Indian Air Force on Tuesday early morning, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi warned India not to challenge Pakistan, the Radio Pakistan reported.

In a statement today, the foreign minister said that better sense should prevail in India.

The Foreign Minister said the Nation should not be worried over the Indian act as the defenders of the country are fully prepared to respond to any misadventure.

He said it is our faith that God Almighty is the only supreme power.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said we are peace loving nation and have registered successes in the war on terrorism.

He said peace has established in Pakistan as a result of sacrifices of martyrs.

In early hours today, the IAF jets tried to violate Pakistani airspace in Muzaffarabad sector of Azad Kashmir and were immediately chased away by Pakistan Air force.

According to Pakistani Military’s spokesperson, IAF jets were unable to hit any target or do any damage. PAF had already been on high-alert for such an eventuality and there were reports of PAF conducting border patrol missions in light of Indian hostilities.

The foreign minister has also informed that Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned an emergency meeting at the foreign office in Islamabad today to discuss the situation in the wake of Indian Air Force’s violation of line of control.

The meeting will discuss the security situation. It will be attended by former secretaries and senior ambassadors.
