Sana Fakhar opens up about her unbelievable body transformation and demands a stop to body shaming

LAHORE- Words matter, and have the power to hurt. Even when we don’t realize it, words can cause someone to pause and pursue unrealistic expectations about their body. Celebrities are a target for this negative talk, receiving backlash for their award show attire, not losing baby weight fast enough, or losing it too fast. And of course, this includes celebrities like Lollywood star Sana Fakhr.

The actress took to Instagram to post an incredibly motivational message where she questioned the notion of “being healthy.”

The Alif Allah Aur Insaan star recently wrote, “Why do we have double standards!? Size zero, four or six… why do we have to put a number upon and against people?”

She added, “Why do we have to have to judge everything and everyone against a single standard or benchmark of our own? Why is it that in certain cases, people come out and defend someone against body shaming while in other cases, they won’t? Why can’t we let others live and cherish life in their own skin and be comfortable in who they are?”

The O Rangreza actor shared that she has always believed in living a healthy lifestyle and loving who you are. “There may be days when we are overweight, thin or overwhelmed with emotions but we should enjoy each passing moment, nevertheless,” said Fakhr.

She then went on to advise her followers to motivate others and “Enjoy a lifestyle of fitness, which is a comprehensive lifestyle statement, not just limited to weight.” Fakhr said, “Our goal should be to encourage others, achieve whatever they want in life. It’s not about a particular shape, size or else; it’s simply being able to love and enjoy life as you prefer, full of energy and spreading positive vibes, whoever you come across in life.”

Sana’s drastic weight loss journey is an example for all the women and men who are struggling with shedding pounds and constantly losing the battle. The actress has lost around 40 kilos.

She made her debut in Lollywood with the film Sangam in 1997, which was directed by Syed Noor.
