LAHORE – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shehryar Khan has reportedly tendered his resignation to Patron-in-Chief of the PCB Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Nawaz Sharif for approval.
The PCB chief stated that he will continue performing the duty until new appointment is made in this regard.
“It is my personal decision based on personal and health reasons,” Shaharyar added.
After the acceptance of resignation, any member of the current Board of Governors (BoGs) could be the candidate for the next chairman. Najam Sethi, who is also one of the BoGs can any for the post.
Also, after the PM approved the resignation, Election Commissioner of the PCB will initiate legal procedures to hold elections in 28 days.
