ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Monday said India had been failed to suppress indigenous freedom struggle of Kashmiri people in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
Talking to a private news channel, he said international community was worried about the ongoing tense situation between Pakistan and India and playing their role for decreasing it.
He said the tense situation between the two countries was being defused and it has been improved as compared to past days.
The minister said India had changed its plan of attacking against Pakistan after international pressure, adding that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was facing criticism even in his own country due to his policies.
After Pulwama incident, he said, the voices were raised against Indian government even by the people in Indian Punjab and pro-Indian Kashmiri leadership including Umer Abdulla, Farooq Abdulla and Mehbooba Mufti.
They were rejecting Modi government’s narrative regarding the Pulwama incident and aggression against Pakistan.
Replying to a question, he said Pakistan would take action over the Indian dossier after analyzing it.
Replying to another question, Fawad said the government would fulfill the demands of Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
Although the Pakistanis were a peace loving nation but it would retaliate strongly if a war was imposed, he said.
He said the international community had acknowledged the peace gesture of Prime Minister Imran Khan for releasing captured Indian pilot.
The minister said the policies of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi were aimed at winning the general election at the cost of destruction and instability in the whole region. The Indian prime minister had put the lives of millions of people on both side of the border at risk.
Prime Minister Imran Khan, he said, had asked the Modi government to provide actionable evidence regarding the Pulwama incident but India instead opted for aggression and its aircraft entered the Pakistani airspace.
He said all the political parties in Pakistan were united and they had adopted a unified stance against the Indian aggression, but people in India were divided over Modi government’s warmongering.
To a query, the minister said the country had achieved immense successes under the National Action Plan (NAP) in the elimination of menace of terrorism. The NAP being a comprehensive plan against terrorism, was being implemented in larger national interest.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had banned some extremist organizations and was taking practical actions against them, he added.
