ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Pakistan and Belarus have signed 18 different Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during the maiden visit of Belarusian Prime Minister Andrei Kobyako.
Both countries agreed to enhance cooperation in the fields of education, economics, power, agriculture and veterinary. They also inked an agreement to provide land for construction of embassies in Islamabad and Minsk.
Earlier this day, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Belarusian Prime Minister Andrei Kobyako held a one-on-one meeting which was further followed by a delegation level dialogue.
They discussed different ways and means to promote bilateral cooperation.
Upon his arrival Belarusian Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov was given official reception at the Prime Minister House.
He was presented a guard of honor and national anthems of the two countries were played.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also introduced his Belarusian counterpart to the cabinet ministers present on the occasion.
