VIDEO: Firing near girls school in Faisalabad panics parents, students

FAISALABAD (Staff Report) – A firing incident near government school caused panic amongest the parents of the students who rushed to the school and tried to barge into the premises in order to evacuate their children.

As per detail, unknown motorcyclists on Friday opened aerial firing near the Government Girls High School Tandlianwala. Upon this,the principal of the school called police and bomb disposal squad. A heavy contingent of law-enforcement agencies reached the spot and shut down the school.

The students while screaming ran out of the school. The stampede slightly injured 10 students.

A TV footage showed a large number of people gathered outside the main gate of the school as they have been already in state of shock following the attack on Bacha Khan University Charsadda, which brought back memories of the tragic APS Peshawar attack.

Earlier, on Thursday, security forces conducted a mock counter-terrorism drill at the Punjab University, which spread panic as most of the students who were unaware of the event.

On Wednesday, at least 21 people were killed during the attack on the Bacha Khan University in Charsadda.
