Earthquake jolts Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – A 5.3 magnitude earthquake jolted Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday. 

According to National National Seismic Monitoring Centre, Islamabad, the earthquake occurred at 3:55 pm while its epicenter was Afghanistan-Tajikstan border region. It occurred at the depth of 86 kilometers. 

Tremors were felt in Peshawar, Upper Dir, Swat, and other areas of the northwestern province of Pakistan.
