Punjab College’s registration ‘cancelled’ over alleged rape incident in Lahore

Punjab College Registration Cancelled Amid Protest Over Students Alleged Rape In Lahore

LAHORE – Authorities have reportedly revoked the registration of the Punjab College’s Campus 10 in Lahore amid protests over alleged rape of a female student.

The protest sparked after a security guard allegedly raped a female student at Campus 10. Police have launched an investigation into the matter.

The protesting students called for accountability in other rape cases, and cited threats from college administration.

Students of several other colleges also protested outside the Punjab College’s branch. Demonstrators accuse the administration of prioritizing the institution’s reputation over student safety and transparency, fueling widespread outrage within the community. Students and supporters are expected to gather to voice their demands for justice and accountability in this serious matter.

The accused has been arrested for allegedly raping a student. Deputy Inspector General (Operations) Faisal Karman confirmed that a special team was formed to investigate the situation after unverified reports emerged.
