SHANGLA – A local administration in a tehsil of Shangla district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has purportedly issued an official rate list for stitching to bar the tailors from charging extra prices from customers ahead of Eidul Fitr 2025.
A notification circulating on social media shows it has been issued by assistant commissioner of Chakesar tehsil. However, the authenticity of the document is yet to be determined.
The administration has fixed rate for normal stitching and urgent stitching with different price for child and elder suits.
As per the list, the normal stitching rate for kids aged up to six year has been fixed at Rs400 per suit while the urgent rate will be Rs600.
The normal rate for an adult persons’ suit with “sada bukram” has been set as Rs900 while it will be Rs1,100 in case of urgent stitching.
If “standard bukram” is used, the stitching rate for the adult suit will increase to Rs1,000 (normal) and Rs1,200 (Urgent).
The assistant commissioner has directed all tailors to display the rate list at prominent places, adding that legal action will be taken over violation.
