ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday admitted that the progress made in the probe of Quetta deadly blasts was slow.
Speaking on the floor of the Senate Nisar expressed that he would announce any positive developments into the investigations.
The minister went on to claim that three suspects are being investigated in connection with the Aug 8 attack on the premises of Quetta’s Civil Hospital.
“We are solving the jigsaw puzzle,” he said, asking the members to show patience and wait for the outcome of the investigations being carried out by the country’s “professional intelligence agencies”.
He detailed that biometric evidence available showed those behind the attacks in Mardan and Peshawar’s Warsak area were foreigners.
Chaudhry Nisar expressed annoyance over criticism by some senators over the role of intelligence and security agencies. “The intelligence agencies are fighting the war for the country’s survival and they should be encouraged,” he said.

The law-maker said that intelligence agencies were cable enough to tackle terrorism and the agencies warned prior to the attacks in Wagah border crossing near Lahore, Army Public School in Peshawar and Bacha Khan University in Charsadda.
