KARACHI – Belinda Lewis, the United Kingdom’s Deputy High Commissioner and Trade Director for Pakistan, has got engaged in the port city.
Interestingly, to celebrate her big day, Lewis wore a traditional red and gold bridal dress.
She also posted her picture on Twitter while announcing her engagement: “Celebrating my engagement Pakistan-style! Love the mehndi. Thank you to my team for dressing me up & all the warm wishes @ukinpakistan”

Belinda started her career in banking before joining the Civil Service in 2003.
She moved the US in 2007 to act as an Adviser to the US Department of Homeland Security on bilateral and other data sharing arrangements.
Belinda joined the Immigration Service in the Home Office on return to the UK, as Deputy Director responsible for border security and visa policy.
She moved to Baghdad in August 2014 as the UK’s Deputy Ambassador to Iraq with responsibility for the smooth running of the Embassy, and for its programme and project work.
She relocated to Karachi in June 2016 as DHC Karachi and UKTI Director for Pakistan.
