ISLAMABAD- Using yet another tactic in their ongoing rift with the PML-N government, PPP leader Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah has filed a privilege motion against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the National Assembly.
The PPP has filed this motion on the basis of the Prime Minister’s contradictory statements regarding ownership of his London flats. The motion has been signed by Naveed Qamar, Ijaz Jakhrani, Shazia Murree and Nafeesa Shah.
This step has been taken immediately after Bilawal Bhutto’s press conference, in which he has warned the government that would take his protest to the streets if they did not accept his four demands by December 27.
In the conference, Bilawal also mentioned that he did not think that the incumbent government was serious about accepting the demands, warning them that they should be ready to face “real opposition” if the demands were not met by the December 27 deadline.
