Soccer luminary Ronaldinho to visit Pakistan for exhibition match

KARACHI – Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldinho will visit Pakistan to play an exhibition match in Pakistan, it has been learnt.

According to a report by Geo News, the 36-year old ambassador of the Spanish football club Barcelona has confirmed his availability to visit Pakistan for an exhibition match to be organised by Leisure Leagues Pakistan in a bid to promote football in the country.

The exact schedule of the match is still under wraps. However, Leisure Leagues Twitter account hinted at a soccer luminary coming to Pakistan. The name would be confirmed by tonight.

Leisure Leagues is a UK-based organisation which holds five-a-side, six-a-side and seven-a-side leagues in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and USA.

 The organisation has been active for over two decades and its president Tim Ollerenshaw revealed that they have plans to launch their operations in Pakistan from next year.
