ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has decided to reshuffle its envoy, including High Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit, who has completed his three-year tenure.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkey Sohail Mehmood will be appointed at his place in New Delhi, while Additional Secretary (Admin) of foreign ministry, Iftikhar Aziz would be appointed as ambassador to Turkey.
Sources said that envoy to Barazil, Burhanul Islam, is also going to retire this year and he would be replaced with Najamul Saqib, Ambassador to South Africa.
Sohail Khan who is currently performing job as envoy in Thailand would be sent to South Africa. Ambassador to Denmark Masroor Ahmad Junejo also going to retire in June and Additional Secretary Asia Pacific, Zulfiqar Gardezi would replace him.
