Security forces foil major terror bid in Lahore, kill two terrorists

LAHORE – Security forces late Sunday killed two suspected terrorists of a banned organisation near Saggian Bridge, Lahore and recovered heavy weapons.

As per reports, the Counter Terrorism Department received information that four terrorists are entering Lahore with plans to hit sensitive installations.

Following this, the officials established pickets near the bridge and tried to intercept four motorcyclists who opened fire on the officials.

In response, two terrorists were killed on the spot while others manged to flee taking advantage of the darkness.

The officials recovered explosives, detonators, Kalashnikov, pistol, and other weapons from the possession of the killed terrorists.

According to CTD spokesperson, “A search operation is underway to find the fugitive terrorists.”
