Saudi Arabia, Middle East, Gulf countries celebrate Eid ul Fitr today

JEDDAh – Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated in Saudi Arabia, Middle East and Gulf countries today (Sunday) with religious reverence and fervor on the completion of the holy month of Ramazan.

The special day started with Eid prayers in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Palestine and other Gulf countries, whereas, the crescent of Shawwal was not sighted in Oman.

Spiritual gatherings were observed at Masjid al-Haram and Masjid-e-Nabvi. King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and crown prince Mohammed bin Salman attended the Eid prayer at Masjid al-Haram in the presence of more than two million pilgrimage.

Among Asian countries, Eid-ul-Fitr is being observed in Japan, Indonesia and Malaysia. France’s capital Paris is also celebrating Eid today.

Furthermore, people belonging to different sects in Canada, America, England and Europe will celebrate Eid today and tomorrow.

The Bohra community in Pakistan as well as people in tribal areas incluing Charsaddah, Mardan moon and Swabi are also celebrating Eid ul Fitr today, though major Pakistani population would celebrate Eid on Monday (tomorrow).
