UFA, Russia (Web Desk) – Pakistan’s full membership of Shanghai Cooperation Organization has been approved by the SCO Council of Heads of Staten here on Friday.
Now Pakistan will have to fulfil certain statutory and legal requirements before the country formally becomes a full member.
Membership in the group potentially offers Pakistan and India greater access to the energy resources of Central Asia.
India have reportedly become permanent members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), a group dominated by Russia and China and also including former Soviet republics in Central Asia.
