Patari CEO Khalid Bajwa steps down amidst sexual harassment allegations

LAHORE – Following sexual harassment allegations, Patari CEO Khalid Bajwa has stepped down from his post. Patari is a local music streaming giant.

The official statement has been released by Patari on its Twitter account, confirming the removal of Mr. Bajwa.

Three women of the company took to social media to expose Bajwa claiming that he had been harassing him, proving that he made them ‘uncomfortable and overpowered’.

One of the girls, Mehravar Ali tweeted: “I mean, this is the most recent convo I have after which I kind of gave up and couldn’t make any more excuses so just stopped replying and blocked him. I felt uncomfortable and overpowered by a man twice my age. We bumped into each other once or twice in public spaces/social e”

Another girl replied to the thread  saying that he begged her not to expose him for the sake of his daughter:

Another woman stated that she is sure there are others being harassed by Bajwa as well.

She shared, “Bajwa used to force me to meet him. He would make plans that he’d pick me up from college and take me to his office.” She eventually blocked him, after which Bajwa contacted her on Instagram and requested her not to expose him “for the sake of his daughter and wife.”
