LAHORE – Veteran actor Irfan Khoosat has said interaction between public and police is essential to maintain law and order in the country,
“[The] Motorway police have become a symbol of pride for our nation. The officers of Motorway police have been able to demonstrate unprecedented hard work and devotion to the department’s core values of integrity,” the director and producer said during his address to NH&MP Road Safety Programe ‘An Hour with the Guest’ at Babu Sabu office on Wednesday.
Mr Khoosat lauded the performance of motorway police for changing the behaviour of drivers on highways and motorways. He suggested that road safety awareness and soft policing should be highlighted through short documentaries and short drams series in general public.
He said that teachers and parents must play their roles in providing awareness on road safety to the youngsters. He also requested media to step up for this national cause for spreading awareness on road safety so that the lives of the people can be saved.
The Andhera Ujala actor also offered to render his services on voluntarily basis for the cause of road safety.
DSP Arif Khan, DSP Mansoor Javed, Public Relation Officer, Inspector Syed Imran Shah and a large number of officials were also present on the occasion.
