LAHORE (Web Desk) Hundreds of Punjab Rural Support Programme (PRSP) employees staged a sit in at Charring Cross Chowk on Mall Road against suspension of the programme.
The PML-Q government had started the PRSP which aimed at providing health facilities to residents of rural areas especially women.
The protesters carrying placards inscribed with slogans demanding restoration of the programme chanted slogans against the Punjab health department and the local administration. They urged the chief minister and the health minister to take notice of issue and order for reviving the programmes.
As many as 5,500 employees of the programme will suffer if the programme was terminated.
