NEW DELHI (Staff Report) – India’s National Investigation Agency official, who was investigating Pathankot airbase attack, has been killed in a gun attack near his hometown Bijnor in Uterper Pradesh.

Officer, Tanzil Ahmad, was travelling along with his wife and children when at least two attackers opened fire at his vehicle. Tanzil Ahmad was killed on spot while his severely injured wife was taken to hospital, where was given first aid.

The attack comes just days after Pakistani investigation team’s India visit to record statements of witnesses of terrorist attack and investigation officials.

Pakistan has also registered an FIR over the Indian airbase attack, after India provided information about the people who were allegedly in contact with the terrorists from Pakistan.
