LAHORE – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz President, Shehbaz Sharif and Vice-President, Maryam Nawaz alleged Prime Minister Imran Khan to have played a role in the arrest of Punjab chapter President, Rana Sanaullah.
In a series of tweet, the former Chief Minister Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif condemned the arrest and termed it political victimization; the younger Sharif said the state institutions were being harnessed against political rivals by the prime minister.

‘It is saddening to see national Accountability Bureau and Anti Narcotics Force being utilized to pressurize and arrest political rivals,’ Sharif said in his statement.
Meanwhile, Maryam Nawaz dubbed the development absurd, claiming that Sanaullah was arrested for his bold and courageous stance.

The PML-N leader was taken into custody from Motorway for allegedly possessing a hefty amount of drugs.
“Huge amount of illicit drugs was recovered from Sanaullah’s car, however, the weight is being measured to know the exact amount,” Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) officials said on Monday.
The drug buster added they do not arrest anyone without any reason.
