PESHAWAR – A female actor in Mardan city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was shot dead on Saturday, according to police.
Sumbul Khan was fatally shot by three armed men who had broken into her house in Sheikh Maltoon Town after she refused them to perform at a private event.
The assailants were identified, police said, adding that a search was underway to arrest them.
The Dawn News cited its sources within the police department as saying that a suspended policeman has also been nominated in the first investigation report of the case.
