ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that Pakistan will raise the issue of US drone strikes on its territory in the International Human Rights Council later this month.
Winding up discussion in the Senate on an adjournment motion moved by Farhatullah Babar, Aziz said a detailed briefing had been prepared for presentation to the IHRC.
He said that the incumbent government had seriously taken up this issue with the United States.
He reiterated that the recent drone strike in Balochistan had undermined the Afghan peace process.
