RAWALPINDI – Islamabad United beat Karachi Kings by six wickets in the 19th match of the Pakistan Super League 8 (PSL8) at the Pindi Cricket Stadium today (Friday).
Chasing the target, Islamabad United scored the required runs in 19.2 overs at the loss of four wickets.
Batting first, Karachi Kings set a 202-run target for Islamabad United in 20 overs a the loss of five wickets. Imad Wasim’s splendid 54-ball 92 not out helped Karachi Kings to set a tough target for Islamabad United.
The openers – Sharjeel Khan and Adam Rossington – failed to build a strong opening total. The batted followed by them Tayyab Tahir and Shoaib Malik could not stay for long on the pitch due to excellent performance with ball by United.
After Kings suffered early losses, skipper Imad Wasim played heroic to recover the team from pressure and turn the tables on United. With total 13 boundaries, he made unbeaten 92 runs that propelled the team to build a tough target for the opponent team. Muhammad Irfan made 30 runs before he was removed by Tom Curra.
Earlier, Karachi Kings won the toss and decided to bat first against Islamabad United.

ISLAMABAD – Pakistani rupee remained stable against the US dollar as the market is looking for direction amid Pakistan’s ongoing negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Amid the economic uncertainty, the local currency remained unchanged against the greenback, moving up 0.01 percent during the opening hours of trading. Before noon, PKR was hovering at 285.40 in the interbank.
In contrast to the inter-bank, the dollar continued its upward trajectory in the open market and is reportedly available at Rs315, as the gap between the official rate and open market rate is Rs30 per dollar.
As the money market is waiting for a positive development from the economic front, International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission Chief to Pakistan said they continued engagement with Islamabad focusing on the restoration of foreign exchange proper market functioning, with special on the upcoming budget.
KARACHI - The price of a single tola of 24-karat gold in Pakistan is Rs 232,700 on Tuesday.The price of 10 grams of 24k gold was recorded at Rs199,510.
Likewise, 10 grams of 22k gold were being traded for Rs163,624 while a single tola of 22-karat gold was being sold at Rs 190,880.
