LAHORE – Main Eid-ul-Fitr congregation was held at Badshahi mosque on Wednesday where a large number of faithful offered Eid prayer.
The congregation was led by the mosque Khateeb Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad. Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar also offered Eid prayer at Badshahi mosque.
On the occasion, special dua was offered for the peace, prosperity, and development of the country and the entire Muslim Ummah.
Maulana Abdul Khabeer called upon the Muslims to follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad
(PBUH) in the real sense to achieve success in this world and hereafter. He also highlighted the significance of the Eid.
It is pertinent to mention here that besides the main congregation, Eid prayer was also offered at various mosques
and open places in the provincial capital where foolproof security arrangements were made to avoid any untoward
incident.
