LOST tape recordings of (late) Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan found in California

Fans of Pakistani legendary musician & Qawal, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan has once again lit up our lives with his music, and this time it has been ‘discovered’ in Oakland, California.

The recordings are now owned by Australian/Pakistani singer Mahmood Khan, who worked with him in 1996.

The ‘LOST TAPE RECORDINGS’ were captured just before his death, it has been claimed.

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was known to be battling kidney disease. 

Mahmood Khan was working on his solo album as an artist & developed songs for it. One of the songs was, according to him, recorded at music producer Rick Rubin’s house in Los Angeles.

Some of the sessions had been recorded at Iran’s mega-star Morteza Barjesteh’s Studio in Encino, California. 

Mahmood also had a recording studio at the house which Nusrat was staying in, during his visit to Los Angeles.

It was claimed that NFAK’s trip had also gained Peter Gabriel & VH1’s attention.

It has been reported that the recordings found are in perfect condition and will be converted into a Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan album, and the auction value of these recordings will be over 5 million dollars!

The news has rekindled old memories of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s songs & concerts, & made all of us very nostalgic!

This surely is a remarkable discovery that will be cherished for years to come.
