Temperature likely to reach 40°C in Karachi

KARACHI –  Residents of the Karachi are likely to experience hot weather today with the mercury expected to touch 38 to 40 Celsius degrees.

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD)  stated that mercury is likely to reach 33-40 degrees centigrade and the heatwave will prevail in the metropolis for the next two days.

The local administration has also advised the residents to take precautionary measure while going out.

According to PMD, mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas.

Moreover, continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. A fresh westerly wave is likely to affect upper parts of the country on Monday (evening/ night) and may persist till Wednesday.
