DHAKA (Web Desk) – Bangladesh needs 550 runs to win the second and final test match against Pakistan here at Dhaka, local media reported on Friday.
Pakistan, who decided to not enforce the follow on, declared 195/6 with a lead of 549 runs.
Captain Misbah-ul-Haq scored 82 runs with the help of nine boundaries and three sixes while Younis Khan made 39 runs from 55 balls which included four boundaries.
Azhat Ali and Sarfraz Ahmed scored 25 and 18 runs respectively.
Mohammad Shahid took two wickets while Taijul Islam, Soumya Sarkar, Shuvagta Hom and Mahmudullah shared one wicket each.
The home side started the third day’s proceedings at 107/5 with Shakib Al Hasan at the crease.
However, the whole side was back in the pavilion with the score of 203 on the board.
Shakib Al Hasan made 89 runs with the help of 14 fours and two sixes while Imrul Kayes scored 32 runs from 46 balls.
Mahmudullah, Taijul Islam, Mominul Haque and captain Mushfiqur Rahim contributed 28, 15, 13 and 12 runs respectively.
Pacer Wahab Riaz and spinner Yasir Shah took three wickets each while Junaid Khan grabbed two wickets and Mohammad Hafeez dismissed one batsman.
