Pantene Hum Bridal Couture Week 2017 kicks off with spunk!
LAHORE - The 15th edition of Pantene Hum Bridal Couture Week 2017 kicked off with a show of modern spunk with classic traditions right in the Mughal City of Gardens December 8, 2017. This year, the bridal extravaganza has been styled by the renowned stylist Nabila and is choreographed by Vaneeza Ahmed Ali, along with with backstage management by Muneera & Aamir of Production 021 and jewellery partner as Hamna Aamir.

Without further ado, let's get to fashion illustrations and designers' inspirations for the ramp looks this year for Day 1 of PHBCW!

Fahad Hussayn Couture:

Fahad Hussayn’s latest bridal collection ARTH Novelty Couture 17/18 is a tribute to the classical Indian movie Arth, and supports Pakistani cinema by collaborating with the Pakistani remake of the movie. The collection is laced with delicate handwork of exquisite craftsmanship. along with the design house hand painted and vintage revival prints majestic detailing, combining the best elements from the world of art, architecture, and avant-garde.





Mifrah:

Mifrah has made a mark amongst the fashion fraternity as a designer since her arrival on the fashion scene in 2001. Her PHBCW collection is a fusion of soft hues, rich embellishments, sequins and pearls, maintaining a balance between traditional work and modern cuts.





Humayun Alamgir:

Humayun Alamgir’s PHBCW collection Poshak is a combination of velvet and Banarasi barcode, and boasts a series of sophisticated and elegant designs that become the ultimate attire for a man. Poshak serves the modern-day men who want to stay connected with their roots while maintaining contemporary trends, making their special moments magical.





Reema Ahsan:

Je Suis Belle by Reema Ahsan reflects the true essence of the beauty of a bride. It comprises rich and unique hand-weaved fabrics harmoniously balanced with classic intricate motifs; defining moment of a young girl’s dream. The Defining finesse and glamour with its, JeSuis Belle is where grace and elegance pay homage to fine craftsmanship with impeccable embroideries and silhouettes.





Aisha Imran:

Jahan Ara is a celebration of contemporary textiles crafted into bridal and couture wedding ensembles for a modern-day woman. The colour palette shuffles between soft neutrals to vibrant jewel tones adding a touch of old world luxury - featuring a bold fusion of a wide range of contemporary bridal couture inspired by the Mughal world of art and architecture fused with modern design aesthetics.





Ziggi Menswear:

Faris takes its inspiration from heroic patriotism, with special dedication to those who sacrifice their lives for their country. The name Faris means ‘A valiant knight’, and the collection takes a deep influence from military attire from the 16th century to the modern-day uniform.





MNR Design Studio:

Mohsin Naveed Ranjha's collection Gulab Sandesh is inspired by wedding festivities, happiness and love between husband and wife.  This collection highlights the feel of the Mughal era. Motifs used in the collection are all inspired by flora and fauna with shades of aquadist green, metallic grey and blushing peach blended seamlessly with the patterns.  Keeping A/W 18 forecast in mind, cut lines are contemporary to give brides the feel of `maharani of today’.





Deepak N Fahad:

The collection ShahtaabiI is imbued within the traditional imprint of the Turko-Persio-Indo folklore. The collection carries with it the marvellous shades of festivity, emanating the intense aura of aesthetic creativity that bewitches and ensnares every sense of human existence that can appreciate the regally royal elegant modes, shades and cuts of a festive attire. Shahtaabi brightens the festive sky of glamour through its presentations.





Last but not least, the ever talented Zoe Viccaji lend her beautiful voice for a phenomenal performnce at the show!



The 15th edition of the country’s biggest bridal extravaganza is presented by Pantene and brought to you by Master MoltyFoam. The show is refreshed by Aquafina and savoury partner is Lays. FM106.2 is the official radio partner whereas snack partner is TUC; Nestle Nido is associate partner and Pizza Hut the food partner.

Rupee exchange rate to US Dollar, Euro, Pound, Dirham, and Riyal - 18 April 2024

Pakistani currency continues to gain against US Dollar and other currencies on April 18, 2024. US dollar was being quoted at 277.2 for buying and 280.3 for selling.

Euro comes down to 293 for buying and 296 for selling while British Pound stands at 342.25 for buying, and 345.65 for selling.

UAE Dirham AED was at 75.25 and Saudi Riyal's new rates was at 73.30.
