55 IS fighters killed in Syria; Erdogan laments lack of intl. support in fight against militants

DAMASCUS (News Desk) – In Syria, at least fifty five Islamic State militants have been killed as a result of shelling north of Aleppo.

Turkish artillery targeted several regions in the province, destroying rocket installations and three vehicles.

In another incident, three civilians were killed in a rocket attack by rebels in Aleppo.

Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused the international coalition battling the Islamic State in Syria of leaving his country alone to fight the militants on its own soil.

Speaking in Istanbul, Erdogan said the border town of Kilis had come under frequent rocket attacks from Syria.
