Pakistan 19th largest exporter of halal food: report

ISLAMABAD - A recent study by Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) states that Pakistan's meat industry is growing at annual rate of 27 percent.

According to a private news channel, the trade volume of halal food was $14 million in 2013, and had increased to $244 million in 2015 with 708,968 tons of meat exported. The above-mentioned data make Pakistan 19th largest exporter of meat in the world.

Analysts call for a comprehensive strategy to tackle challenges pertaining to meat industry.

New Zealand, which is much smaller than Pakistan, is world leader in the halal export market. – APP

Today's gold rates in Pakistan – 31 March 2023

KARACHI - The price of a single tola of 24-karat gold in Pakistan is Rs 208,200 on Friday. The price of 10 grams of 24k gold was recorded at Rs178,500.

Likewise, 10 grams of 22k gold were being traded for Rs163,624 while a single tola of 22-karat gold was being sold at Rs 190,849.
