Major Changes Announced In Saudi Arabia Seasonal Work Visa

JEDDAH – Saudi Arabia has announced extending the duration of seasonal work visas for international employees as previously they could stay for up to 90 days in the kingdom.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has issued a statement in this regard, stating that those coming to Saudi Arabia on work visa can get extension in their for another 90 days. It means they can work there for up to 180 days.

The ministry has warned the companies of stern action if they are found involved in sale of seasonal work visas for Hajj and Umrah services.

It said the companies involved in selling the visas may face a fine of up to 50,000 Riyals while the companies can also be placed in black list for five years.

The authority has the power to impose both penalties on the violators.

Every year, significant number of workers from across the world, including Pakistan, travel to Saudi Arabia on seasonal work visas as they provide services during Hajj and Umrah season.

They help the companies in handling customers during the peak seasons.
