New LoC? Afghan forces fire unprovoked on Pakistani side of border

RAWALPINDI (Staff Report) – At least one Pakistan security person was injured, when Afghan forces resorted on unprovoked firing at the Pak-Afghan border near Torkhum gate.

According to Inter- Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistani security forces responded to Afghan firing very effectively.

In order to check movement of terrorists through Torkham, Pakistan is constructing a gate on own its side of the border as a necessity to check unwanted and illegal movement, the army spokesman added.

Meanwhile a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office has also said that Pakistan considers these unprovoked attacks unhelpful in Pak-Afghan relations.
