LAHORE – Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana has approved the amended drug act making it a law and it has been implemented in the province.
After signing by the governor, Punjab government has issued gazette notification in this regard.
On the other hand, pharmaceutical companies and chemists are staging protests against the new drug act, as medical stores are closed in several cities. The chemists are also observing black day against Lahore bomb blast that took lives of 16 people, including police officers.
Rafique Rajwana also signed five other laws including amendment in local bodies act, Home Economics University, land record authority act, civil administration act, and property act.
