Post FIFA World Cup 2018: Lets recall how Croatian President had flown in on an economy ticket to watch the matches

LAHORE –  The Croatian President, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, is a learned woman who fills in the entire criteria of being a president. She is also a multi-linguist, fluent in Croatian, English, Spanish and Portuguese, and also understands German, French and Italian. On top of everything, she is empathetic, a trait not many seem to have these days!

Look at the love she has for her country she flew in on an economy seat to watch her dearest football team make it to the finale.

While she interacted with the President of France who was himself proud of his winning team, Kolinda provided support to each player of her team that had not won. She hugged players of the opponent team as well.

“The French proved better in decisive moments although we practically let them score the first two goals too easily. Still, it is a great achievement to play in the final and we can only be proud of what our soccer team has done in the World Cup,” 59-year old Darko Ilakovac said.

At Moscow’s Luzhniki stadium where the match took place, everyone was in tears, either of happiness or loss.

Croatia, with a population of only 4.2 million people, were an unlikely candidate at first but they showed vigor and reached the end only to be defeated by France.
