SEOUL – South-Korean tech giant Samsung rolled out Disney’s favourite character Mickey and Minnie Mouse AR Emojis for newly launched flagships Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus.
AR Emojis on the Galaxy S9 is a clear attempt to compete with Apple’s Animojis on the iPhone X,
Samsung says Disney characters are coming to life in an augmented reality setting for the first time ever, users can download Mickey and Minnie from the AR Emoji mode inside Samsung’s Camera application.
AR Emojis includes other characters from Disney films, including The Incredibles, Zootopia, and Frozen will be rolling out to the S9 and S9+ throughout the year.
How to get AR Emojis
This add-on is available to all S9 and S9+ owners for free and doesn’t require any sort of update to work. Simply open camera application, head over to the AR Emojis section, and hit the “+” button to add-on the pack.
“AR Emojis use deep learning and facial recognition technology to map more than 100 facial features to produce a 3D replica, allowing users to create fun, customized messages to send to friends”, Samsung said in Press Release.
